I want to say thanks to Ongalee Moon and all the staff at Croaker’s Spot on Hull Street in Richmond, Virginia for giving the best birthday dinner a girl could ask for. The food was great the drinks were strong and my family and friends really enjoyed themselves.
If you haven’t already, you definitely need to check them out. They are one of the more upscale, urban seafood spots in the city offering delicious cornbread, fried fish, macaroni and cheese, shrimp, cabbage, scallops, and cheddar ranch grits and so much more. I love the lemonade and the infamous “hot buttered soul” sauce that I drizzle on my cornbread. The Sweet Tea is always on point and the plates are piled high. If you are looking for a place that can match the ambiance to their menu, this is the joint. People are always stopping by day and night for some good-eating and I understand why. They staff members are very professional and unexpectedly stylish. One waitress in particular, I can’t remember her name, rocked some golden locks in an intricate design, had me considering getting the same hairdo. The artwork on the walls is amazing and the layout couldn’t be more comfortable if it tried.
Kudos to the team and the manager on their ability to hold it down for the Cap City, everyone should experience this place at least twenty times. This is the place to go when you want to take a date, the family, or have a lunch meeting with some colleagues. I can’t wait until lunch time, so I can grab a bite to eat. I got a craving for some Croaker’s Spot!
